Linus Lönngren is a merited postgraduate in Economics & Finance from King’s Business School and a first-class honours graduate in Economics with Marketing from Goldsmiths. He has written Redeye’s daily pre-open market report since September 2024.

The job is equal parts analysis and discipline. Every morning the same ground has to be covered — the American close, overnight Asia, commodities, the ten-year, the Stockholm open, the day’s macro calendar — with the numbers right across EMEA, APAC and the Americas, and the whole thing readable before publication closes.

He grew up in Stockholm and studied in London, and works in Swedish, English and Finnish. Resilient and curious, unafraid to take on an unfamiliar problem, and quick to pick up the skill it turns out to need.
